This September 30th, A Page in the Sun, has an event prepared to allow the community to share, stories, experiences or any personal production they may posses, a unique oportunity to show the world your art. The event starts at 8pm, at Lazaro Cardenas in the Romantic Zone.

Open Mic Vallarta is centered around the power that storytelling, poetry and music have to transform and connect our community – Open Mic Vallarta is making waves in the bay. If you or someone you know are interested in participating, shoot us a message here.

Vallarta-Nayarit promotion strengthened in Finland

This week, Nayarit tourism officials carried out their work while visiting Finland and other northern European countries for promotional, public relations and publicity related to Finnair’s new weekly air service, which begins in November and continues until March 2018.

Vicente Salas, Director of Mexico’s Tourism Office in London, offered the opening remarks, highlighting Mexico’s tourism offer. He spoke of the more than 6,800 miles of coast of the country and more than 1,800 miles of border with the United States; its beautiful beaches; culture; gastronomy; traditions; and history. He asked for support from the travel agencies that are in charge of selling the destination of Vallarta-Nayarit.

Jalisco breaks world record with 3 tons Guacamole

The state of Jalisco has done it, with the collaboration of 1000 people and using more than 25,000 avocados and other vegetables, has been prepared which is now recognized as the largest guacamole in the world, with a total of 3 tons. In addition the event had the participation of the state’s youth, with 600 students of kitchen contributing.

The kneading process was part of entertainment and partly politicking, as producers and Mexico claim that they and the American loving guacamole have benefited from the North American Free Trade Agreement that is now threatened by the President of the States United Trump.

Puerto Vallarta to celebrate World Tourism Day

Everything is ready so that next 26 and 27 of September will be celebrated in the World-wide Day of Tourism 2017, where the keys of the city will be delivered to the main wholesale agencies and the Travel Vlogger, Alex Tienda will be named like the ambassador Tourist activities, as well as different tourist activities in some parts of the city.

At the press conference, the celebrations for the 2017 World Tourism Day were announced, which this year will be “Sustainable Tourism – A tool for development”.

Charro Day

On Thursday, September 14, the appointment is at 9:00 am for the “Charro Day” Parade, which is part of General San Martín (one block from Avenida Union) and Niños Héroes, pass in front of the historic monument at Edge of 11 am, continue through Chapultepec and Av. Washington to reach the desire of the 12 times national champions. The invitation to all the Jalisco associations is run to join this important celebration.

In the Tournament Charro, at 12 noon, announced the two-time national champion Triana de Jalisco, Three Gifts of Cancun and the celebrated Charros de Jalisco, leaving from four in the afternoon to: Carlos Sánchez Llaguno, Tapatía de Charros, Regional Of Jalisco and Charros de Occidente.
