Turtle Season has arrived to Puerto Vallarta

Thousands of Olive Ridley sea turtles are reaching the shores of Puerto Vallarta, in their annual ritual of spawning, in which each female buries more than 70 eggs along the coast and after 45 days of incubation, the newborn turtles start their career into the waters of the Pacific in one of the most attractive events for locals and tourists in the region.


This event is one of the most anticipated in the region during the June to September season, several activities are planned to watch turtles lay eggs while and return to the waters of the Pacific.

With the organization of the protection program turtles Puerto Vallarta, several hotels and resorts in the city such as Casa Magna Marriott, Velas Vallarta, Dreams and Hotel Barcelo Hotel Rosita and El Pescador develop educational programs throughout the season that allow visitors become part of this unique experience.
