Larry King announces the end of his program

– When it comes to interviews in the US, the name Larry King and his program on CNN are inextricably tied together. He has spent the last 25 years presenting his program, but on Tuesday night, veteran journalist Larry King, 76, has announced that leaves his well-known program “Larry King Live”to spend more time with his family.

King made the announcement through his Twitter account: “I want to share a personal story with you. 25 years ago, I sat at this table before the governor of New York Mario Cuomo for the first issue of Larry King Live. Now decades later, he has talked to the guys at CNN and I said that I would end my evening program this fall. CNN has graciously accepted, giving me more time for my wife and go to the kids’ games. ”

The journalist has expressed pride for his Guinness record: The 76 year-old King, currently listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for hosting the longest running show with the same host on the same time slot. His program attracts leading professionals from various fields, from music to sports to politics. He celebrated his 25th year as host of the Larry King Live in summer, with President Barrack Obama and Lady Gaga as his guests. The network president praised his television work in recent years and announced that King will continue to participate in the grid through special broadcasts.
