Conanp accredits 726 tour guides for Marieta Islands

After the complicated situation in the natural sanctuary Marieta Islands, the National Commission for Protected Natural Areas (CONANP), has decided to attack the root problem through training of specialized tour guides to direct and supervise tourist groups so that visitors can enjoy this natural wonder without posing a threat to the ecosystem.

The formation process took place between July 24 and September 20, at the Technological Institute of Bahia de Banderas, graduating 726 guides that are now the only ones with permission to carry tourists to Marieta Islands. These credentials are valid only until 2018, seeking to ensure that the training of guides is kept current.
