It is unlikely that former world champion Kimi Raikkonen will return to Formula One, as he stated today.
The Finn, world champion with Ferrari in 2007, he left Formula One at the end of last season to compete in the World Rally Championship with Citroen.
“You never know, but I’ll probably never return to Formula One,” said the 30-year-old to French sports daily L’Equipe.
“It’s something I did for many years, I had many great moments. I won a world championship, which is what I always wanted, but times have changed. Now I’m in rallies and there are many other things in life than just Formula One,” he said.
Kimi Raikkonen would like to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. “I’d like to try it, but you also need to find the right team,” he said. “If you want to win, there are only two: Peugeot and Audi. I hope someday there is a chance,” he said.
