Google delays its ‘Google TV’ service

Google has asked some producers to delay the launch of Google Tv television receivers from the software-based Internet company, stated The Wall Street Journal.

TVs with Google’s software allow users to surf the web from their devices.

Google reached out to some hardware manufacturers last week asking them not to announce additional products yet, saying the delay would allow the company to improve its software, said the newspaper.

However, Samsung Electronics will continue with the product launch of Google TV at the Electronics Show in Las Vegas to be held in early January, the newspaper said.

Google did not immediately respond to an e-mail in which they called for a statement. The first devices with Google TV are offered Sony and Logitech International.
